Description
Luxewall Wallcovering “French oak” is made from old fruit crates from France. Due to their intensive use and the exposure to wind and weather, the planks are beautifully greyed & grooved or “grey weathered”. The bottoms of the old fruit crates are “fruity brown” (brown tinted), this is due to the fact that the fruit juices have penetrated the wood over the years. Some shelves even have the original letters of the fruit grower on the shelves! The disused boxes are dismantled and processed into our wooden wall coverings!
Playful effect
The planks are planed to different thicknesses to get a nice playful effect. Furthermore, the planks are selected for their grey colour and neatly packed in a box of 0.8 m2.
The planks are artificially dried to a moisture content of 12% and are therefore suitable for various interior applications. The planks are brushed to emphasize the rustic look.
Mounting of the wooden wall cladding
We recommend a flexible mounting kit for our Luxewall wall cladding. This can also be ordered in our webshop! Apply this in 2 to 3 glue grooves on the back of the planks. Then press the plank onto a flat surface. Make sure the surface is free of grease and moisture. Also use small nails every now and then to hold the panels in the glue.
Leave a space of approximately 3 mm at the edges. After all, wood can expand and must therefore be given space to do so.
